“Where are you headed?”
When I was in 10th grade, I contemplated and questioned myself on Where am I headed in life? to some this might be a daunting question and I fall under that some category. I was doing research in Neuroscience and Pathology in 10th grade with a professor name Dr. Juan Marcos Alarcon, he was an amazing teacher and his search was not only challenging but breakthrough research regarding memory and plasticity. It was very difficult at times to fully understand everything in his research but he was a patient man and really cared whether I understood the materials or not. I recall my experiences in his lab from time to time and the memories are priceless. After working on research I realized biology and chemistry is definitely not my forte. So I decided to explore other fields and that led to my discovery of ACE Mentor-ship program after countless hours of researching on the web for some sense of direction somewhere. Finally Found it, Engineering. It was a field that I knew only the name. But through ACE I was able to see what a particular Engineer- Civil in this case does. And so I started from there!
